I just counted up the days until we leave for Poland.... 44 days. To some, that may seem like an eternity. For others, like myself (Ann), this is an inadequate amount of time for all that has to be accomplished! I say that with a huge smile...because I am not a procrastinator and do not operate (or chose by my own doing) from one crisis to another. That being said, I (and I can speak for Josh as well) have been incredibly humbled by God's graciousness and gentle reminders that He alone is in control! We'll be working on getting a prayer calendar ready to go out and will post the prayer on here daily as well. I can't stress enough our desire to have people a part of what God is doing in Poland through our work there. Helping out at the camp seems so minor compared to the front line work of the Polish counselors, but I know that our supportive role helps them be the best that they can be. We want to help, not hinder... we want to add, not take away. We want to be encouragers, not be the ones that need encouraged....(that'll be your role as we are on week number 4!!!).
This is such an exciting time for us and it overshadows all the "things" that need to be completed before we go. If there's one thing that is heavy on me (Ann) right now, it's the English booklet I have been working on (having not enough time to do so is the biggest factor right now) for the Children's English Language Camp the first week of August. I need to have it completed by the end of June to be able to go through it with the team from our church (Rochester Christian Church) and Westside Christian Church. We've been meeting and I'm helping prep them for that week. The booklet was such a great aid in the English teaching done last year and requested for another year. I graciously accepted to do it again! I just don't want to go insane doing it because time has been so limited for me this year!!! So, yeah, you can pray for that!
We hope this finds you just as excited as we are! Blessings... ann
